Emiliano started his restaurant career in 2001 working at Sir Terrance Conrans Butlers Wharf Chop House, he then moved to work for Gordon Ramsey’s Michelin star restaurant at the Connaught hotel. Quickly rising through the ranks he became a manager at Greig’s in Mayfair and later managed the Zebrano groups Carnaby Street restaurant, club and bar. Emiliano’s whole career has centred around providing the very best service to his guests and the best working environment for his staff.
Julien Baris
Executive Chef
Having grown up in the world-renowned Bordeaux region of France, Julien’s love of premium cuisine and world-class wines was instilled from a young age. He honed his craft in the kitchens of a number of Michelin-starred restaurants in France and moved to London to work as the Head Chef at Aubaine, before joining 28°-50° in 2014. Julien leads a skilled team of talented international chefs to deliver delicious, seasonally-led Modern European dishes.
Jules Bensacq
Group Head Sommelier
Hailing from Bordeaux in France, Jules’ passion for wine led him to join 28°-50° as a sommelier and is now the head sommelier. Bringing years of experience from the Grands Crus Classés in Bordeaux, the Rhone Valley and Burgundy, Jules has had the opportunity to work alongside some of the great names in French viticulture. Finalist of the European Competition of Young Wine Professionals 2017 and graduate in wines and spirits management, Jules loves sharing his expertise with fellow wine lovers!
Helena Magdaleno
Restaurant Manager
Hailing from Madrid, Helena is an accomplished General Manager with a wealth of rich experience in hospitality. Her academic achievements span multiple degrees in Tourism & Hospitality Management and International Relations, and as a polyglot proficient in five languages, her remarkable talent makes her an invaluable asset to 28°-50°. Helena’s professional journey includes roles at prestigious establishments such as the Ritz-Carlton Madrid, the Ritz-Carlton Barcelona, and the Mandarin Oriental in London, where she excelled in Guest Relations and Revenue Management.
Ruben Hajezy
Assistant Restaurant Manager
Originally from Portugal, multilingual Ruben has a passion for learning languages and is fluent in English, Spanish, and of course his native Portuguese. His eight years in the hospitality industry have seen him gain plenty of valuable experience including four years in wine bars, which he puts to good use in his role as Assistant Restaurant Manager at 28°-50° Oxford Circus. In his spare time, Ruben has an interest in sports and is currently studying sports therapy, with a particular focus on massage therapy and rehabilitation
Cameron Matthew-Brown
Bar Manager
Cameron began his hospitality career in events, gradually working his way through the ranks and becoming Events Manager at the renowned stately home, Knebworth House. He subsequently managed a cocktail bar in his hometown of Stevenage, Hertfordshire. We are now delighted to have him on the 28°-50° Oxford Circus team as our Senior Bar Manager, where he is responsible for all things bar and beverage-related, from stock management to creating our drinks menus
